- Incredibly rare and excellent condition Japanese Arisaka Type 2 'TERA' Paratrooper Rifle in 7.7x58 Arisaka. Based on the Type 99 Arisaka and made exclusively by the Imperial Military Nagoya Arsenal, this rifle was produced between 1943 and 1945, with production figures indicating only roughly 20,000 of these rifles were made.
- Designed to be taken down and quickly disassembled for usage with paratrooper units during the Second World War, it was primarily issued to the 'Teishin Shudan' of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force (IJAAF) and the marine paratroopers of the 'Rikusentai', belonging to the Imperial Japanese Navy's (IJN) Special Naval Landing Forces.
- This particular rifle is in excellent condition, with an immaculate bore and all matching numbers on all parts. The rifle's main serial number (13174) is found on the left-hand side of the reciever alongside the Nagoya Arsenal stamp, and the last three digits (174) are also found on the rifle's bolt, the D-ring used to take down the rifle, the underside of the barrel which appears when taken down, and the bayonet lug. It also has matching assembly numbers (Assembly Number '535') which were used to identify both halves of the rifle featured on the left-hand side on both halves of the rifle. On the barrel half there are two, featured right below the sight and on the main metal body where it joins the reciever. On the reciever half it is only featured on the metal body where it joins the barrel.
- The stock is also in excellent condition, and apart from minor storage marks is immaculate. The underside of the rifle's stock also has the accompanying Nagoya Arsenal inspection mark below the rear tang. This inspection mark is the Japanese kanji character 'na' for Nagoya. The rifle's Imperial Chrysanthemum has been scrubbed off indicating capture by American forces or removal by Japanese forces prior to surrender, and is missing its cleaning rod. The iconic and original anti-aircraft sights remain intact and it bears no import marks.
