- Incredibly rare and immaculate post-war Finnish Mosin Nagant M/39 rifle in 7.62x54R. Developed to standardize rifles for both the Finnish Army (Suomen Armeija) and the Finnish Civil Guard (Suojeluskunta), a total of 102,000 rifles would be made mostly between 1941 and 1944. however this particular rifle is one of 3,000 assembled at a Finnish Army arsenal between 1967 and 1970. As such, these M/39s represent only 2.9% of total production.
- Accordingly, the rifle has no manufacturer's mark on the reciever or stock (which has circular wooden plugs done by the Finnish arsenal to replace knots in the wood used in said stock). It also has the correct post-war stock splicing present below the sights as well as the presence of the standard post-1956 buttstock reinforcement beneath the buttplate.
- The rifle's bolt and barrel both have matching serial numbers, with the bolt knob bearing the last four digits of the serial number. The reciever also has the serial number of the previous rifle the Finnish arsenal used to assemble this rifle. As is universal with these "no-maker, late date" M/39s; the barrel is immaculate and pristine; the rifle's bluing is in excellent condition; and it retains much of its original storage grease. These rifles are highly sought after by both regular Mosin collectors and those who prefer the Finnish rifles for their high quality and rarity.
