The high-frequency cartridges emit a loud, high-pitched sound during flight, lasting approximately 2–3 seconds and producing a noise level of around 110 decibels. The cracker and whistler cartridges have an approximate operating range of 50–60 metres, while the Xploda timed-report cartridges have an approximate range of 50–70 metres.

Designed for use with compatible 12-gauge shotguns, ProScare cartridges are intended for controlled acoustic wildlife management applications.
