  • A Finnish M91 Mosin Nagant manufactured in 1926 by Tikkakoski (Tikka) at their factory in Jyväskylä. This rifle is one of a small handful of M91 rifles assembled by Tikka between 1925-1927 with the barrel stamped with the Tikka logo above the text "1159 C 1926" ('1159' being the rifle's serial number, and '1926' being the year of manufacture.).
  • This rifle was likely originally in service with the Russian Imperial Army prior to the Russian Civil War, as it still retains the Russian Konalov rear sight, meaning it ended up in Finland's stockpiles after the conflict. Early into its Finnish service, it would be overhauled and given a new Finnish-made barrel courtesy of Tikka. The receiver is also stamped with a crossed cannons insignia above "ATV1" which suggets that the rifle passed through or was assembled by a Finnish military arsenal. The barrel also has additional stamps on the left and right-hand sides. On the left, it has the Finnish Army property stamp (an '[SA]'), while on the right-hand side it has the text "SS 124838" present. The "SS" indicates that the rifle was transferred from the Army to the Civil Guard, and "124838" indicates that it was issued to a Civil Guard unit in Pohja, west of Helsinki.
  • The rifle is in good condition, with no observable rust and only very minor pitting present on the exterior of the magazine. The finish on the metalwork is worn however, and the bare metal can be seen on some parts of the rifle. The barrel isalso very worn while the woodwork is also in good condition with a darkened finish and some cosmetic marks and scratches.
  • It is matching as per its Finnish refurbishment, with the Finnish serial number present on both the barrel shank and the bolt.
  • These M91's are highly sought after given their provenance and service with both the Russian Imperial Army during the First World War and Finnish Army during the  1939-1940 Winter War and the 1941-1944 Continuation War. This is an great rifle that would make a phenomenal addition to any collection!
