- Swedish m/96 Mauser manufactured in 1907 by the Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori in Eskilstuna. This rifle is one of an estimated 11,222 manufactured by Carl Gustaf in 1907, with the reciever stamped with the manufacturer's logo (a crown above a stylised 'C' & 'G') above the text "Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori" (the official name for the Carl Gustaf arsenal).
- This rifle was issued to the Swedish army, with the appropriate inspection and acceptance stamps on it. The presence of Swedish-made aperture sights however, suggests that the rifle may have also been loaned by the Swedish government to the Frivilliga Skytterörelsen (a.k.a. 'FSR,' or Volunteer Shooters' Organization). The Swedish government allowed minor and reversible changes to be made to the rifles while they were used by the FSR, and this included the attachment of aperture sights and occasionally modified wooden grips.
- The aperture sight on this rifle is a very rare "m/Söderin" sight. Söderin sights were given different colours on their dials to designate the ammunition they were regulated for, and this one appears to have been a faded white, meaning that it was regulated for a 143gr 'Silver Match' ammunition travelling at 2,624 feet per second.
- The rifle is in good condition, with minor fading to the metalwork's finish and various comsetic marks to the stock. However the stock itself is beautiful, and is walnut with a phenomenal tiger-stripe pattern present across the whole rifle.
