The CZ 455 is a well-regarded Czech-made bolt-action rimfire rifle, known for its excellent accuracy, robust construction and smooth action. The 455 was introduced by Česká Zbrojovka as the successor to the highly regarded CZ 452 series. One of the major developments of the 455 platform was its modular design, which allowed barrels and, where appropriate, magazines to be changed between compatible rimfire chamberings. The action retains the traditional steel construction and substantial feel for which CZ rimfire rifles have become known.

This example features a heavy-profile barrel paired with the laminate thumbhole stock. The laminated construction provides greater dimensional stability than conventional timber while retaining the appearance and feel of a wooden stock. The thumbhole configuration, raised comb and broad fore-end are particularly well suited to supported and precision shooting.

The CZ 455 series has since been superseded by the CZ 457 platform, making the earlier 455 rifles increasingly appealing to shooters who prefer the traditional CZ rimfire action and styling.
