- A Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) No. 1 Mk. III manufactured by Small Arms Factory (SAF) Lithgow in 1916 and issued to the Australian Military Forces. The right-hand side of the receiver beneath the bolt bears the pre-1926 Lithgow crest with the text "Lithgow Sht. LE III" inside it and "1916" beneath it.
- This Lee-Enfield was issued to the Australian Second Military District in 1916, with the top of the receiver stamped with "2nd M.D."
