  • Russian Nagant M1895 revolver manufactured in 1901 by the Russian Imperial Arsenal at Tula. This revolver is one of an estimated 50,000 revolvers manufactured by the Tula Arsenal in 1901, with the frame stamped "Императорский Оружейный Завод Tульский 1901" ('Императорский Оружейный Завод Tульский' meaning 'Imperial Arms Factory Tula' and '1901' being the year of manufacture).
  • As it is a single-action, this revolver is believed to have been issued to a non-commissioned officer or enlisted soldier in the Imperial Russian Army. Additionally, while it has the correct pre-1928 proof marks used by the Tula arsenal, some parts have the post-1928 Tula 'star' proof mark. This suggets that the revolver was likely refurbished sometime after the Russian Revolution, where it received new factory replacement parts.
  • This revolver is in good condition, with only minor pitting present on exterior surfaces. Furthermore, the finish on the metalwork and woodwork has faded and darkened in places.
  • The revolver appears to have matching serial numbers, as the left-hand side of both the frame and trigger group are stamped with the same number.
  • This revolver is an incredible piece of Russian history, with its year of production meaning it may have served in the Russo-Japanese War, the First World War, the Russian Civil War, and even the Second World War. This would be a phenomenal addition to any collection!
