The Australian International Arms M10-A2 is a unique and relatively uncommon bolt-action rifle that blends classic military heritage with modern functionality. Designed and produced in Australia by AIA (Brisbane), the M10 series was developed as a modernised evolution of the iconic Lee-Enfield platform, incorporating updated materials, detachable magazines, and compatibility with contemporary ammunition.
Built around a strengthened rear-locking Lee-Enfield–type action, the M10-A2 retains the smooth cycling and robust design of the original system while improving durability with newly manufactured components. Chambered in 7.62×39, the rifle offers practical, mid-range ballistic performance, with the added advantage of widely available and affordable ammunition.
A key feature of the M10-A2 is its ability to accept standard AK-pattern detachable magazines, providing increased capacity and ease of sourcing compared to traditional bolt-action systems. Combined with its shorter carbine-length barrel and solid timber stock, the rifle presents as a rugged and versatile platform suited to both range use and field applications.
