- A Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk. 1/2 rifle manufactured in England by Royal Ordnance Factory (ROF) Maltby in 1943, with the left-hand side of the receiver bearing the original text "No. 4 Mk. I" while the left-hand side of the grip is stamped "M. 1943."
- It was updated to a No. 4 Mk 1/2 rifle by ROF Fazakerley in 1953, with the left-hand side of the receiver faintly stamped "No 4 Mk I/2 (F) FTR /53" alongside the rifle's serial number. As such, it received an improved trigger and more advanced micrometer rear sight to bring it into line with the newer Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk 2 rifle.
