An original German Second World War Luger P08 pistol, manufactured by Mauser-Werke in Oberndorf am Neckar. This pistol is one of an estimated near-one million made by Mauser during their Luger production run between 1933 and 1942, with the slide stamped "42" and the receiver stamped  "1939" ("42" being Mauser's covert manufacturer's code and "1939" being the year of production).

The pistol was likely issued to the German army, as it lacks the alternative police or air force acceptance stamps. The acceptance stamp on it is believed to have been introduced in mid-1939, therefore this pistol is either an excellent example of a pre-war or very early wartime production Luger P08.

This pistol is in phenomenal original condition, with a well-preserved original finish. The barrel is slightly worn however with minor blemishes inside, but retains crisp and smooth rifling with a shine. Additionally, it appears to be almost entirely matching, with every part except for the magazine bearing the correct serial number ("3315") or the last two digits of the serial number ("15").
