The Steyr Mannlicher M95/30 Long Rifle is a historic straight-pull bolt-action rifle, renowned for its robust military design, fast cycling action, and extensive service across Central and Eastern Europe. Originally designed by Ferdinand Mannlicher and adopted by the Austro-Hungarian Army in 1895, the M95 saw widespread use through World War I and continued in service well into the interwar period and World War II.
This example is the M95/30 conversion, reflecting the 1930s update in which many original rifles were rechambered to the more powerful 8×56mmR cartridge. These conversions were primarily carried out by Austria and Hungary, modernising the platform to improve ballistic performance and extend service life during the lead-up to WWII.
Chambered in 8×56mmR, the M95/30 delivers strong performance in a full-length military rifle configuration, while the straight-pull bolt system allows for rapid follow-up shots compared to traditional turn-bolt designs.
This example presents as a classic military surplus rifle, retaining the rugged construction and historical character that define the Mannlicher system and its long service history.
