    • Preparation:
  • Due to the manufacturing process and/or shipping, case mouths may not be perfectly round. To ensure a round case mouth, cases must be sized (or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through case neck) and deburred/Chamfered prior to loading.

    Note:
  • A light "staining" may be found on the case neck of new brass. This is due to annealing. Annealing is a process, performed by the manufacturer, which involves rapid heating to a specified temperature followed by rapid cooling. This process imparts cases with the proper hardness to securely hold a bullet as well as gives flexibility to expand and contract upon firing and repeated forming. The "staining" is a residue from this process. This stain may be removed by tumbling before loading. Brass should be full-length sized, trimmed and chamfered before loading.

    Hard to get 6mm brass

    Have no issues with this brass as all fitted quite well thru the sizing dies and well done Rebel for having it on hand for a quick delivery to Burnett Heads. I will be a continuing customer again in the future!

    Brass purchase

    Ordered online, received promptly. It was a relief to find someone who stocked 6mm Rem brass, it's not always easy to find. Postage cost was a bit dear but the item was well priced.

    Brass .... at long last!

    I have always considered the 6mm Rem a better round than the 243 and a better looker as well. The Winchester brass may not be rated with some of the European brands but I have always used their brass in quite a few calibres from the tiny hornet to the 375. I have some 338 and 270 cases that are from the late sixties. I learnt long ago that you have to size your cases about .001" shorter than a fired case and you will not have any problems with cases loosing their heads.
    In the 270 I used the O'Connor load for the 130gr projectile and the now defunct H4831 and my primers looked fine . Remington cases along with the popular Norma require 2 grains less or you will flatten primers big time, out in the summer heat of SW Qld. where I call home.
    Yep! the big red cases will do me.
