The Sako L461 Vixen is a classic model of Sako sporting bolt-action rifles, renowned for its exceptional accuracy, superb craftsmanship and silky-smooth action. Manufactured in Finland, the L461 was purpose-built as a lightweight small-action rifle and quickly earned a reputation amongst hunters and target shooters as one of the most refined sporting rifles of its era.

Designed around Sako's compact Vixen action, the rifle features a precision-machined receiver, adjustable trigger and a forged bolt renowned for its smooth cycling and reliability. Coupled with Sako's cold hammer-forged barrel and beautifully finished walnut stock, the L461 delivers outstanding accuracy while maintaining elegant Scandinavian styling. This rifle, serial number 137518, was manufactured in 1974, making it an early example from the first year of post-1973 L461 production.

This rifle is in good mechanical order with some cosmetic damage to the wood work.
