Manufactured in Japan by Howa Machinery, the Model 1500 has developed a strong reputation as a dependable sporting and target rifle platform, known for its solid action, straightforward design and excellent value. The Howa 1500 uses a strong two-lug push-feed bolt action with an integral recoil lug and reliable internal magazine system.

This rifle is fitted with Howa's HACT two-stage trigger, designed to provide a clean and predictable trigger pull. Chambered in the popular .223 Remington, this rifle offers mild recoil, excellent accuracy potential and a broad selection of available ammunition, making it a versatile choice for recreational target shooting and varmint or pest-control applications.

The rifle is fitted with a Pecar 3–9×44 scope featuring a Duplex reticle, providing a versatile magnification range suitable for a wide variety of hunting and sporting applications. The 44 mm objective provides good light transmission while maintaining a relatively compact profile, with the lower 3× setting well suited to closer field work.
