MatchKing rifle bullets are super-accurate bullets with very thin jackets and are held to exacting tolerances in diameter and weight. Their accuracy has been acclaimed worldwide and they have been used to win more target competitions than all target bullets from other manufacturers combined. Weight retention is held to within +/- 0.3 grain. Each bullet is a hollow point and is designed with a very small meplat in order to achieve the highest ballistic coefficient possible. This is not loaded ammunition.

The "go to" projectile for untamed rifles

The Sierra Matchking (SMK) is a tangent ogive with a ballistic coefficient that makes it a bit slow and more wind-affected compared to VLDs and other sleeker secant ogive types; you'll find maybe 200 fps slower at 600 yds for same starting MV. BUT the SMKs shoot well and are less finnicky with seating depth and lands jump or jam. I have regularly shot 1/2 MOA on elevation but struggle with windage from a Savage mod 10 repeater; 24" 1:10 twist. For target, these are great up close less than 600 yds but pack some VLDs too for if the breeze picks up. If you have a rifle that doesn't group the SMKs will tell you if it can...or not. The TMK Sierras are much the same but a fair bit more expensive; it depends on how much you want to spend to put holes in paper.
