Serial number 43076 dates this rifle to 1941 production, placing it among the late pre-war Model 70 rifles manufactured in the United States prior to America's entry into World War II. As expected from a genuine pre-64 rifle, it features the sought-after controlled-round-feed action with its large claw extractor, a design revered by hunters and collectors alike for its dependable feeding and extraction under demanding conditions.
This rifle presents in excellent original condition. The bore is excellent, the original bluing remains strong, and the stock is also in excellent condition.
