The Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded is an American-made, semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP, combining the traditional design of John Moses Browning's legendary M1911 with a range of modern enhancements intended to improve handling, accuracy and shooting comfort.

The Loaded series was introduced as a step above Springfield Armory's standard Mil-Spec 1911, incorporating a number of features traditionally associated with custom-built pistols. These typically include an extended beavertail grip safety, skeletonised hammer, lightweight trigger, extended thumb safety and improved sights. The result is a well-equipped interpretation of the classic 1911 platform, retaining its traditional appearance and operating characteristics.

This example features a 127 mm (5") barrel and a durable parkerised finish, providing a subdued, non-reflective appearance and improved resistance to corrosion. The full-size steel frame and slide retain the substantial feel and balance for which the original Government Model 1911 is renowned. Its single-action trigger and traditional grip angle contribute to the model's reputation for comfortable handling and consistent shooting performance.
