The FN Superposé is a classic Belgian-made over-and-under shotgun designed by the legendary John Moses Browning and manufactured by Fabrique Nationale (FN) at Herstal, Belgium. Introduced in the early 1930s, the Superposé was one of the first commercially successful over-and-under shotguns and became highly regarded for its excellent handling, quality of manufacture and elegant traditional styling. The design would also become closely associated with the famous Browning Superposed, and today these Belgian-made shotguns remain sought after by sporting shooters and collectors.
This traditional shotgun provides a configuration particularly well suited to clay target shooting and field use. Its Belgian manufacture, classic over-and-under action and renowned Browning design make the FN Superposé an attractive example of European sporting gunmaking. This shotgun is in very good condition, with a tight action and nice finish to the steel hardware. There is some minor cosmetic damage to the timber furniture.
