An original German C96 pistol manufactured by Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf am Neckar in 1900. The top of the barrel is stamped with the text "Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf A/N." The left-hand side has the standard Imperial German crowned 'U' proof mark.

This C96 is referred to as a "flatside" variant, referring to the smooth and flat frame. These frames are typically only seen on approximately twenty-five thousand C96 pistols manufactured between 1898 and 1902.
