The Brno Vz. 24 is a well-regarded Czechoslovakian bolt-action rifle built around the proven Mauser 98 action. Originally developed during the 1920s for military service, the Vz. 24 earned an excellent reputation for its robust construction, quality machining and mechanical reliability. Manufactured by Československá Zbrojovka in Brno, these rifles were widely exported and have subsequently become popular foundations for custom sporting rifles.

This rifle is chambered in the classic 7×57mm Mauser cartridge and has been sporterised into an attractive traditional hunting rifle. It retains its original Vz. 24-marked Mauser-pattern action, paired with a sporting-profile barrel and a beautifully figured walnut sporting stock. The stock features a raised cheekpiece, contrasting grain patterns, chequered pistol grip and fore-end, sculpted grip cap area and a fitted black recoil pad.

The rifle is fitted with a Leupold Vari-X  III 2.5-8x36mm scope, mounted above the receiver on a Leupold one-piece base. The metalwork presents in excellent condition = with a polished blued finish, complementing the rich colour and grain of the walnut stock, and a slick action. 

Chambered in 7×57mm Mauser, this rifle combines a historically significant Czechoslovakian Mauser action with the classic styling of a custom sporting rifle. The 7×57mm remains a respected traditional hunting cartridge, known for its moderate recoil and long-standing reputation for accuracy.
