What do firearm conditions really mean?
1. "As is" - Firearms sold in 'as is' condition do not have any type of warranty. They may be functional, but this cannot be guaranteed due to their age or use. Typically, firearms in this condition are worth more in individual parts. Firearm actions can be broken down and parts stripped for a minimum fee of $50-$100 (depending on the complexity of the job). Individual part prices can be determined by contacting our office.
2. "Good" - Firearms sold in condition are functional, but may be less aesthetic. Typically factors such as age, use, overall value, as well as external and internal condition are considered in this assessment. Significant signs of wear may be observed. The firearm has been test fired to determine feed and function. Specific results of this test may be found in firearm descriptions, unless otherwise proven to be functional.
3. "Very Good" - Firearms sold in condition are functional and reasonably aesthetic. Typically factors such as age, use, overall value, as well as external and internal condition are considered in this assessment. Some signs of wear may be observed. The firearm has been test fired to determine feed and function. Specific results of this test may be found in firearm descriptions, unless otherwise proven to be functional.
4. "Excellent" - Firearms sold in condition are functional and aesthetic. Typically factors such as age, use, overall value, as well as external and internal condition are considered in this assessment. Minimal signs of wear may be observed and the overall condition is superior. The firearm has been test fired to determine feed and function. Specific results of this test may be found in firearm descriptions, unless otherwise proven to be functional.
5. "Ex-display/Demo" - Firearms sold in this condition have typically been been used very little - if at all. While a manufacturer's warranty may not extend to secondary owners, Rebel Gun Works will provide a full store warranty on the firearm. Please contact us for full details of firearm warranties.
